Weekly Market Update: Earnings Season
It’s a good time to be a bull.
Everything has started to lean heavily in the bullish direction. That may change over time, but for now, it’s a full-on party for the bulls.
Everything is up in 2025.
S&P 500 hit new all-time highs.
Bitcoin hit new all-time highs.
Nvidia hit new all-time highs.
Gold hit new all-time highs.
I’ve been highlighting these for a while now.
And as I’ve said time and again, strong markets don’t give up so easily.

Case in point:
When the S&P 500 is up between 5% and 10% at the halfway point of the year, the final six months have finished higher 13 out of 15 times.

Are we in 1998?
As I mentioned in my last weekly update, I believe we may be on the verge of one of the greatest bull runs in history. There are many similarities to the dotcom boom that began in 1995. I’ll publish a report on that soon.
Of course, there are no guarantees. But make sure to prepare for a scenario like this.

This bull market is still young.
At just 31 months old, it is less than half the average bull market duration, which is 67 months or roughly 5.5 years.

One of the most difficult things to balance is being bullish long-term while being cautious in the short term.
The S&P 500 has now traded above its 20-day moving average for 52 straight days. A pullback or correction wouldn’t be a surprise at this point.

But this doesn’t mean it’s time to turn bearish. The market has been performing well largely because earnings remain strong. As long as that continues, the market will keep rewarding investors.

Earnings season is here.
The next earnings season is just getting started. It’s going to be important to see how results come in. I’ll be watching closely and will also create a list of top names to follow into earnings season.
