Buy: $LEU
I just initiated a position in Centrus Energy ($LEU).
Many of you are likely already familiar with this company.
Last August, I bought a position in Centrus, and it doubled in just 4 weeks. It was a perfect storm. A textbook mix of strong fundamentals, sector strength, and clean technicals. As the stock doubled, I sold a large portion of the position. Sometimes momentum runs too far, too fast, and you can take advantage of that. I sold the remaining shares when the price broke below the 50 SMA.
This is one of the reasons why timing matters so much. If you get in near the start of a move, you are often in profit right away. That gives you more room for error. You also do not have to sit through long periods of consolidation or painful drawdowns.
Of course, there was some luck involved too. Investing is a game of probabilities. But you can help create your own luck. You do that by doing the work, studying the data, and putting yourself in positions where good outcomes are more likely to happen.
Now on to Centrus Energy.
Centrus Energy is one of the best pure-play nuclear energy stocks in the market today.
The company enriches uranium to produce Low-Enriched Uranium (LEU) and High-Assay, Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU). These fuels sit at the heart of the nuclear energy supply chain. LEU is the standard fuel used in today’s nuclear reactors. It powers most of the world’s existing nuclear plants.
HALEU is even more important looking ahead. It is a critical input for the next generation of advanced and small modular reactors. These new reactor designs aim to be safer, more efficient, and more flexible. Without HALEU, many of these reactors simply cannot operate.
Because Centrus already has the technology, licenses, and experience to enrich both LEU and HALEU, it sits in a very strong position. As governments push for energy security and nuclear restarts, and as advanced reactors move closer to deployment, demand for these fuels is likely continuing to grow.
Unlike most nuclear stocks, Centrus already has real sales. It is not just a promise of future potential. The business is growing consistently, and most importantly, it is profitable.
Now it is just coming out of a base. I would have liked to get in even earlier, but this should work reasonably well too.

Also, I reduced my position in $NU. The opportunity cost is too high right now to keep positions that are moving sideways. I’m still keeping my initial buy, but I removed the add-on position.
