I hope today brings you a moment, even just one, where you get to slow down, breathe, and actually feel the magic of this time of year. Whether you’re surrounded by family, cooking up a feast, or drowning in wrapping paper, I genuinely hope you’re finding pockets of joy today.

Hence, today’s update will be a little different…

This is a reminder that the market will always be there. There will always be another opportunity to make money. But sometimes, there are more important things than lines on a chart.

So, make sure you enjoy your time with loved ones. Be present. Laugh, eat, talk, and just be there. Those moments will become rarer and rarer. It’s hard to get a bunch of people together at one point in space and time, even when you plan a year in advance.

Cherish every moment.

By the time you turn 18, you’ve already spent 90% of your time with your parents. The older you get, the more you get pulled into the busyness of life. People age, get sick, and die, and people also grow apart.

So, if you’re in your last 10% of time with someone you love, keep that fact in the front of your mind when you’re with them and treat that time for what it actually is: precious.

Because at some point, before you know it, you realize the bitter truth: everyone is an adult, you are one too, everyone has their own life to live, and you’re basically on your own.

And life passes faster than we think. It’s short.

And to be clear quantity is not what matters when it comes to meaningful relationships. Quality time matters much more than just being around a lot.

Enjoy the holidays. Enjoy the people around you. The market will always be there. It can wait. Life cannot.
